Epic in Tulsa: Command Centers

The Epic Command Centers are designed to monitor and gauge activity during go-live, while supporting and troubleshooting concerns or issues. The following locations have been identified as Epic Command Centers for the Tulsa activation.

Central Command Center
The Central Command Center will be located at Hillcrest Medical Center in the Women’s Health Center conference room on the third floor, covering the Hillcrest activation 24/7 for the first two weeks. Focused on issue triage and resolution, the center will be staffed by IT project team members, senior leadership and Epic team members.

Satellite Command Centers
Satellite centers will be located in each of the other hospitals in the Hillcrest Health System, including Hillcrest Hospital South, Tulsa Spine & Specialty Hospital, Hillcrest Hospital Claremore, Hillcrest Hospital Pryor, Hillcrest Hospital Cushing, Hillcrest Hospital Henryetta and Bailey Medical Center.

The Satellite Centers will be staffed for the first few days by representatives from Orders, Clin Doc, Willow, Access teams as well as Hillcrest and Ardent leadership.

Nursing Command Centers
There will be a Nursing Command Center at each of the following locations:

  • Hillcrest Medical Center – 2 West Conference Room
  • Hillcrest Hospital South – Administration Board Room
  • Hillcrest Hospital Claremore – CNO’s Office
  • Hillcrest Hospital Pryor – CNO’s Office
  • Bailey Medical Center – CNO’s Office
  • Hillcrest Hospital Cushing – CNO’s Office
  • Tulsa Spine & Specialty Hospital – Board Room
  • Hillcrest Hospital Henryetta – CNO’s Office

Provider Lounge
The Provider Lounge will be located at Bailey Medical Center. Providers will have a designated place to drop in, get their questions answered and complete additional personalization in the system with guided support. These will be staffed by informaticists.
